Biography

Egemen Kesikli is an emerging Turkish composer honored with numerous performances across the United States, by ensembles such as the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra, Kitchener Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, the St. Olaf Band, UT New Music Ensemble, and the Luna Nova Ensemble. He is the recipient of many awards including the “Minnesota Collegiate Composer of the Year Award” in 2011.

Kesikli received his Bachelors degree from St. Olaf College with Departmental Distinction, and is currently seeking his Masters at the University of Texas Butler School of Music, studying with Dan Welcher and Yevgeny Sharlat.
