Biography

Ben Stevenson (b. December 19, 1995) is a 19-year-old Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Music Composition student at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently studying with Yevgeniy Sharlat,and his previous teachers include Bruce Pennycook, Donald Grantham and Kenneth Lindsey. Stevenson enjoys writing for any medium and has a wide variety of musical interests, spanning film music, large orchestral and wind ensemble music, and chamber music. He has had works read by the Ventoso Wind Quinet and the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his composition studies, Ben is a dedicated oboist and a member of Andy Parker's oboe studio. He previously studied with Rebecca Henderson.
